The MACS®Tissue Storage Solution has been developed to allow an optimized storage of fresh organ and tissue

samples without showing background effects like cell activation or apoptosis induction. It has been tested and validated

on a variety of human and murine tissues including tumors, skin, heart, spleen, brain, and skeletal muscle.

Applications The storage of organs or tissue samples may be required if material has to be collected from multiple origins, collected at

different points of time, or if it cannot be directly processed. During this period of storage, necrosis and apoptosis must be

avoided. Also, cell activation and changes in pluripotency of cells have to be preserved in order to prevent the modification

or loss of the functional capacities of cells, such as with immune or stem cells.
